Parent Portal

CK Prices encourages all of our parents to take advantage of the parent portal.  Parents can view their child's grades, attendance, and discipline record 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.  Teachers update the classroom grades a minimum of once a week.  Parents can also communicate with teachers by email.  Teachers consistently check their email and can quickly respond to parent questions.  No child can "slip through" with consistent school-to-home communication.

API Score

CK Price staff is proud to announce our API score has increased 22 points from the previous year!  Great job students, staff, and parents.  We look forward to working hard again this year and I am confident our scores will continue to increase.

Modified Wednesday

Many parents have asked, "Why do all the Orland Schools get out early every Wednesday?"

The answer is, the early release on Wednesdays allows the teachers to work together as departments to review data and make instructional plans.  This time has been critical to C.K. Price improvements.  Teachers have developed common assessments (DPA), common pacing guides, common lessons, and now are maximizing our 8th period interventions/electives time to help support student learning.  Every Wednesday, teachers create an agenda for the time they have to collaborate and then record all their discussions and decisions in the meeting minutes.  Mrs. Sailsbery and I are also a part of every team and support the teams with whatever they need to ensure student learning.

Parent Club

Our first parent club meeting of the year will be September 15 starting at 5:30 in the library (located in the old gym right inside the front doors).  Please come and be a part of this great team working hard for our students.  Parent Club organizes a dance, helps with picture day, raises money, supports staff appreciation days, etc.  Parent Club supports the whole school.  See you on the 15th J
