Music Department Announcements:

CK Price Music T-Shirt and Sweatshirt orders are due this Friday 11/18.  T-shirts are $10 and sweatshirts are $30.  Checks can be made to CK Price. Students will wear the shirts for spring events.  Anyone may purchase one (friends and family too!)

HONOR CHOIR:  If your student is prepared to attend CMEA Honor Choir in January, please make sure that they have paid the $27 fee to CMEA-NS and turned in their permission slip by the end of this week.  Alternates do not need to do this now.  (Your child will know if this announcement pertains to them).  Thank you!

Orland Christmas Tree Lighting:  The Advanced Band and Concert Choir will be performing Tuesday November 29th at 5:00 at the Orland Christmas Tree on 4th st. (near the Post Office).  Students must be there at 4:45.  Band students need to have their instruments ready to go (no cases) and their music with them.  Anyone is welcome to come and sing some carols with us!  Dress warmly in regular clothes (no uniforms).

Concert Choir (periods 1 and 8):  Wednesday December 14 

*This is a modified day.  I will call the students out of class at 1:00 to change into their concert uniforms, then we will walk over to the Carnegie Center at 1:15.  We will begin singing promptly at 1:30 and will return at 1:45.  Please make sure transportation is arranged!  All singers must attend this community outreach event.

Winter Concert:  Tuesday December 13 6:00 PM in the CK Price Gym.    Concert dress.  We plan on having a bake sale, so any donated baked goods would be great!  If you can sit with the bake sale when your child is not performing please let me know.  We are asking for a $2.00 donation admission for each ticket to cover the gap in expenses this year.  jcoon@orlandusd.net
